Meet your Coach: Linda Lenard
I discovered gymnastics at age five and was immediately captivated. Since then, I’ve devoted myself to sharing this passion with both the sport and the community I love. I trained all through elementary and high school, competing at the high school level and earning several awards. My coaching journey includes TumbleBee Gymnastics and Dance in Blaine, Dorothy Rea Dance Studio in Coon Rapids, and the former Duluth Dance Center with Ms. Nancy. I also worked at Duluth Gymnastics Center, then located in Kenwood Mall, and later at The Gymnastics Academy (TGA) on Arrowhead Road, where I coached for nearly 26 years until its closure.
I also taught gymnastics at all three Stella Maris Academy campuses (Holy Rosary, St. John’s, and St. James) and am certified in Head Trauma, First Aid, and CPR. My goal is to provide a positive and encouraging atmosphere for my young athletes, helping them believe they can achieve anything. Each gymnast has unique needs, and I’m dedicated to helping them grow in ways that work best for them. I make myself available for personal guidance and aim to be a supportive presence as they pursue their goals.
In my spare time, I enjoy vegetable gardening, canning, cooking, crafting, fishing, camping, and snowmobiling.
Why I Chose TumbleBee Gymnastics
I chose TumbleBee Gymnastics as the name for my gym because it honors a special part of my past. From the ages of 15 to 21, I took dance and gymnastics lessons at Tumblebee Dance Studio, located in the Northdale Center in Coon Rapids, MN. The owner, Sue Poulin, was not just my coach; she was a beautiful person who had a profound impact on my life. Although she passed away several years ago, I hold her memory dear to my heart.
Sue taught me with a gentle, patient, and loving approach that instilled a lifelong love for gymnastics and dance. I cherished the fun name of her studio and promised myself that if I ever owned my own gym—a lifelong dream of mine—I would name it in her honor. My goal is to provide the same quality of gymnastics and dance instruction to my students that Sue provided to me and my family.
Sue taught me invaluable lessons about life, not just gymnastics. Our families shared wonderful times together over the years, and I like to think she is looking down on me, proud of what I’ve created.
TumbleBee Gymnastics opened its doors for classes on April 3rd, 2023. I am truly enjoying the experience of coaching these amazing kids and building lasting relationships with their families.
